Daptiv, our “TopTenREVIEWS Bronze Award” winner, is a great browser–based project management program. Because it's browser–based, collaboration is especially easy and efficient.
This product ranks among the best; easily qualifying for third place. Daptiv, formally known as eProject, was rated third because it offered a handful more collaboration features, including a discussion board/forum. On the other hand, a few slight shortcomings in its project management features kept Daptiv from being our top pick.

Ease of Use:
Daptiv is very easy to use and navigate, though like most project management programs it will mostly likely take a while to familiarize yourself will all the available features and capabilities.
While many of the programs we reviewed had centralized dashboard features, Daptiv's dashboard is a step above the rest. It's completely customizable: place links and important information wherever you want. Using the dashboard's intuitive interface it's easy to manipulate data to give you the results you need.
Feature Set:
One excellent feature in Daptiv is its contact manager. While not as sophisticated as dedicated contact management software, it is still a useful addition. You can quickly sort through contacts by name, organization, email or use the search function to find who you are looking for.
Another convenient feature is timesheets. As your team works on the project they can update their time spent, or you can manually enter the information. This information can then be exported to timesheets for use with your accounting software.
Ease of Installation:
Installing Daptiv is easy: there's no software to install. Instead, the program is hosted online by Daptiv.
Help/Support:
Daptiv offers a variety of self-help options including FAQs, manual, knowledgebase and turorials. If you still have questions, you can contact their customer support by phone or email.
Project Management:
One of the best features in Daptiv is the check–in, check–out process of document management. This allows you to keep control over documents by setting restrictions, version numbers and even see if a document's final draft has been edited. Daptiv keeps a history log in addition to sorting documents by version number, so navigating through this section is especially easy. And, because setting permissions and restrictions is so easy, you never have to worry about someone overwriting a document that they shouldn't have access to.
Resource Management:
One nice feature in Daptiv is the ability to check on resource allocation. You can quickly get an overview of the workload for each human resource, so that you don't keep assigning more work to people who are already busy.
Collaboration:
The area where Daptiv really shines is in collaboration and communication. The program includes an issues section that allows not only the ability to raise issues, but makes tracking them simple. You can also track the progress of issues and see what percent of them has been resolved.
Daptiv can send out email notifications when an issue is edited, completed or deleted and the program also offers a forum or discussion area that allows your team to give input on the project, which is great for brainstorming and organizing ideas.
Summary:
Daptiv is a great solution if you want your team all on the same page and if you value team feedback. Your clients, vendors and executives will also be able to track project status effectively and in real-time.
